So I was pretty jazzed to tear apart this vintage TV set tonight.
I often drive around late at night to think about life, explore the city, and to find treasures like this TV left out on the curb for the trash the next morning.
I was about to tear apart the TV for a project idea I had, but thought I would double check online for perhaps an easier way to do it than how I had ventured.
Come to find out, it is very possible to break a particular tube inside the set and also, TVs can carry charges even after unplugged. All the suggestions I found began like this, “WARNING!”. Apparently the tube can implode/explode sending shards of glass flying all over or you can shock yourself to death. Depending on what trouble you find yourself in first.
I need to read up on this some more. Anyone else have experience in this arena?
