Had an interesting chat last night with a friend who was semi-offended that I didn’t introduce him to my girlfriend when she was in town.
There are those friends that guard and protect someone you care deeply about when you step away to use the restroom. And then there are those friends that swoop in at that opportunity. And it’s not a trust issue with my darling. But rather a sickening thought of a close friend flirting or moving in…trying to step into a committed relationship.
Makes me wonder what truly makes a friend worth keeping around. Trust, I suppose. And I lack that with a certain few. But for the most part, have amazing friends that would go to the ends of the earth.
All this to say, you’d better leave my girl alone :)
