My dear lady and I were discussing a passage of Scripture months ago and what it means to be a slave of Christ. Her response was simple and yet so hard to fully wrap around:
“Bound to a life of christ
Bound to a life of what holds me.”
I am hoping that this next season of life, with all of it’s adventures, will help me better understand the depths of which she is implying. That I may learn to live the life of Christ. That I may learn that it is He that holds and sustains me. And that no matter how much I run, pretend, or ignore; I am somehow still bound to Him. And He to me.
May we learn to be bound to the One that holds us.
